ABEOKUTA – In a significant move to modernise its operations, the Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially commenced training for officials who will oversee the upcoming electronic registration of party members.

The flag-off ceremony, held in the state capital, marked a pivotal step in the party’s mission to digitise its membership register. The State Chairman of the party, Chief Yemi Sanusi, underscored the importance of the initiative, stating that the party is “on a mission to count its votes before the election.”
Chairman Sanusi charged all officials involved, including State Administrators, Senatorial Administrators, and Local Government Supervisors, to be diligent in their duties. He revealed that their activities would be closely monitored by “Their Excellencies, The President, our Governor, and his humble self,” while also promising that hard work would be duly rewarded.
The training session was facilitated by Hon. Olusegun Bankole, who also serves as the Administrator for Ogun Central Senatorial District. He meticulously drilled the LG Supervisors, drawn from the state’s twenty local government areas, on the fundamentals of the party’s online registration process.
Adding his voice to the proceedings, the State Admin of the registration exercise, Mr Yemi Adelani—who is also the party’s Organising Secretary—admonished the supervisors to buckle up and collaborate with ward agents to galvanise members on the portal. He announced that specific targets would be set for each local government, which must be met within a record time.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Prince Aderibigbe Tella, the State Secretary and Senatorial Admin for Ogun West, who urged all supervisors to strictly adhere to the laid-down guidelines for the registration exercise.
With the training now declared open, the Ogun APC has set the stage for a comprehensive digital membership drive ahead of future elections.
