The Ogun Waterside Local Government has expressed profound relief and gratitude following the safe release of a respected community leader, Alhaji Musa Moruf, from kidnappers.
In an official statement released on Saturday, the local government’s Vice Chairman, Alhaji (Hon.) Olabode Ogunlana, attributed the successful outcome to divine mercy and the direct intervention of Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
“We express our profound gratitude to Almighty God for His infinite mercy and divine intervention,” the statement began. “Our sincere appreciation goes to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, the Governor of Ogun State, for his exemplary leadership and timely intervention.”
The statement detailed that the abduction had caused significant distress within the community. It further commended the collective efforts of other leaders, spiritual figures, and security agencies whose work contributed to securing Alhaji Moruf’s freedom.
Concluding with a prayer for future peace, the statement added: “We pray that our communities will no longer experience such distress and that Almighty God will continue to guide, protect, and preserve Ogun Waterside Local Government.”
The release highlights ongoing security challenges in some regions while showcasing coordinated efforts between communities, traditional institutions, and the state government under Governor Abiodun’s administration to resolve such critical incidents.
