Abuja, Nigeria – Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger recently arraigned for allegedly assaulting a flight purser, has denied filing a N500 billion lawsuit against the Federal Government and the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
Emmanson, who gained public attention after a viral video showed her in a heated altercation with cabin crew, was charged with physical assault and disrupting flight operations. However, she has refuted claims that she instituted legal action seeking massive compensation from aviation authorities.
In a statement issued through her legal representative, Emmanson described the reports as “false and misleading,” insisting she has no such case before any court.
The NCAA and the Federal Government have yet to officially respond to the alleged lawsuit, which had circulated in some media outlets.
Authorities continue to investigate the onboard incident as the case proceeds in court.
