Indications have emerged that Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, the 2023 Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is set to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) today.
Adediran, who resigned from the PDP two weeks ago, is scheduled to address a press conference at his campaign office in Ikeja, Lagos, this morning, where he will formally announce his return to the APC.
Sources close to the politician revealed that Adediran recently met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja to discuss his decision to rejoin the ruling party. Adediran, a former member of the APC before he defected to the PDP, is said to be eyeing a representative position in the 2027 general elections.
A source close to Adediran indirectly confirmed the move to our correspondent, stating that the politician has finalized plans to rejoin his “initial political family.”
