BREAKING NEWS: Lightning Strike Kills 32 Cows in Odeda, Ogun State

A tragic incident occurred today in Ajegunle Community, Obantoko area of Odeda Local Government, Ogun State, where a thunder strike killed 32 cows. The devastating event happened around 12 noon during a heavy downpour.

Eyewitnesses and community leaders, including Chief Wasiu Afolabi, the Baale of the community, confirmed the incident to OgunInsight.com insight.com. They expressed shock, noting that this is the first time such a disaster has occurred in the area.

The affected cows were reportedly owned by both the Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba communities, highlighting cooperation between the groups.

Local authorities and residents have expressed deep sympathy for the herders and cow owners affected by the tragedy. “We commiserate with the Hausa/Fulani community and all those who lost their livestock. May God protect us all from such evil occurrences,” a community leader said.
