The Executive Chairman of Ijebu North East Local Government, Hon. Folusho Badejo, graced the Women in Politics meeting held today at Eagle’s Square, Atan. The event, which drew women leaders, political stakeholders, and community representatives, focused on advancing women’s participation in governance and politics.

In his keynote address, Hon. Badejo lauded the women for their steadfast commitment before, during, and after the November 16, 2024, Local Government Election. He highlighted their resilience, dedication, and pivotal role in ensuring the success of the electoral process and the stability of his administration.

Describing the women as “pillars of progress” in Ijebu North East, the Chairman expressed deep appreciation for their unwavering support. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to gender inclusivity, pledging to prioritize policies and programs that enhance the welfare and empowerment of women in the local government area.

The event served as a platform for dialogue on increasing women’s representation in political leadership and addressing challenges faced by women in governance. Attendees praised Hon. Badejo’s leadership and his administration’s efforts to foster an inclusive political environment.

The Women in Politics meeting concluded with a renewed call for collaboration among stakeholders to ensure greater participation of women in decision-making processes at all levels of governance.
