The much-talked-about wedding between Fuji musician, Ayinde Marshall and Titi seems to have suffered a big blow.

The legal marriage which was conducted by registrars from Ikoyi registry at the Ojushagbola Castle, in Ijebu Ode where the couple exchanged of rings and signatures, has been declared illegal.

Titilola, a fabric merchant in Lagos, has had three kids for KWAM 1, who is known to be a serial polygamist, and has been in the relationship for a few years.

They were partners but she bore his name.

However just as Fuji musician KWAM 1, who lost his daughter late last year, marked his 61st birthday on March 3, he decided making Titi, Mrs Ayinde Marshall.
KWAM 1 also had other wives who bore him kids. So far, he has been legally married to some of these women including Yewande, who lives in Canada with her children. They are still married.
His marriage to Yewande held in Ghana.

On Thursday, Justice Chuka Austine Obiozor, issued a restraining order to the Ikoyi registry from conducting marriages, saying it is unconstitutional for the Federal Government to perform the duties of the state and local governments.

Many celebrities would prefer an Ikoyi Registry wedding than making use of the registry in their local government.

The judgement delivered on Suit No: FHC/L/CS/1760/16 said marriage registries in the local government and local council development areas of Lagos state are the authentic and legally-binding government divisions established to carry out such.
