The Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, has lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of civil servants through policies aimed at enhancing efficient service delivery since assuming office in 2019.

Onasanya made the commendation during the ongoing promotion interview session for public and civil servants in the state. He highlighted that Governor Abiodun’s approval of the 2023 and 2024 promotion exercises has paved the way for the career advancement of eligible officers, fostering increased productivity and morale within the workforce.

Emphasizing the importance of maintaining high standards in the civil service, the Head of Service urged workers to uphold and surpass the legacies of their predecessors. He stated, “The welfare of workers is very key in the scheme of things, and the flexibility of government in this regard cannot be overemphasized. With this conduct, Ogun is up-to-date on promotion matters.”

Onasanya, who chaired both the Administrative Staff Advisory Council and the Management Committee during the interview sessions, revealed that a total of 26,764 civil and public servants across junior, senior, and management cadres in various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are benefiting from the promotion exercise.

He further stressed that the interview process ensures that all eligible candidates demonstrate their readiness and justification for advancement to the next grade level, maintaining transparency and meritocracy in the system.

Meanwhile, some of the staff expressed gratitude to the state government for the opportunity to be promoted, pledging their unwavering commitment to the ‘Building Our Future Together’ agenda of the Abiodun-led administration.

This promotion exercise underscores the state government’s dedication to fostering a motivated and efficient workforce, aligning with its broader vision for sustainable development and improved service delivery in Ogun State.
